Thailand is the most expensive country of our travels but we finally had a day under budget yesterday! We wanted to average $30 a day for living expenses and here is a break down of our first day under budget.
$30 equals 900 Thai Baht
165 baht or $5.50 for a late morning breakfast. Two coffees banana pancakes and French toast
26 baht or about .90 cents for a two liter bottle of water each.
100 baht or around $3.30 for two bicycles for the day. Saw the Bridge over River Kwai and an underground Temple
120 baht or $4 for two large all fruit shakes for lunch
76 baht or $2.50 for dinner. Pad Thai and stick meats at the local night market
130 baht or about $4.30 for two large Leo beers
280 baht or about $9.30 for our hotel with the view below, private bathroom and shower, and hot water
